A little goldfish created for my Dad for father's day. He didn't get it on time, it's still swimming it's way through the Royal Mail postal system.

My thoughts have turned to the garden lately as all the blossoms have been out so here's a couple of illustrations inspired by my garden. The agapanthus buds are forming which reminded me of an illustration I did last summer so I dug that out too.

As we are in the process of doing up our lounge and dining rooms ( a very long and slow process I might add) , I have been searching around for some inspiration.

I'm in the middle of collating lots of frames for a photo wall including these rather lovely reclaimed wooden ones made by my good friend Lenny.

A gorgeous merry-go-round at the Liberation Day celebrations was the inspiration for this illustration of a carousel horse.

There's nothing quite like the sound of the ice cream van coming down the road during the school summer holidays. I always went for a Cider Barrel as it felt a little bit naughty and grown up. Failing that, the lemonade one (can't remember the name), or sometimes a Fab, perhaps even a Zoom or a Cherry Brandy. 99 Cornet anyone?.... ahhh happy days. The summer holidays that went on forever.

Feeling a little nautical. Spring must be in the air.

Created two new card designs for baby girl and baby boy. Wanted to give them a slightly retro feel and not make them too traditionally pastel.

This is my yummy, yuck post where I show something that I love and something that, well quite frankly, no thanks. I don't care if it's the summer's must have, I won't be wearing clogs on MY feet.

Created this new design today as I need a few cards aimed at the boys. Smelly trainers, perfect.

garden

I've been out in the garden a lot more recently and have started to plant one or two bits. Quite excited at choosing what to put in as I'm re-doing a whole bed just outside the french doors. On top of that, helped out at the school yesterday planting a woodland area with over 80 trees. I helped my son plant an oak tree which will hopefully still be there in 100 years time.

So all this planting and warmer weather has inspired me to design some floral cards, the first of which is here.

mostly wearing

I started drawing these "today I am mostly wearing" illustrations towards the end of last year. I don't do them nearly often enough but then that probably has something to do with wearing the same clothes all the time. Perhaps it's time for a bit of springtime shopping...

This is the boys idea - making faces on our sandwiches. Which is great because it means they help out with making the lunch which is always encouraged in our household.

Photo Shoot

Went round to Lenny's and made good use of his camera/nice shelves to photograph some of my cards for the website. Then took some more at home on not such a good camera but with some different angles and props.

Mini Hooray!

I was a runner up in the tigerprint Love Typography competition! I'm quite chuffed as it's the first one I've entered. Better get cracking on the next one...
